What is K2? Is it harmful?

Many news stories on the K2 drug.

K2, known by its lab name JWH-018, is a synthetic form of marijuana, and is also called an "herbal smoke" in head shops where substitutes for illegal drugs are sold as smoking supplies. Even though the drug clearly labels itself as not for human consumption, K2 is widely available and can be bought by anyone of any age, and it is legal to use. Note that lots of things are legal, but not a good idea. The side effects of K2 include anxiety, hallucinations, and blood pressure changes, so you should consider your health before trying this herbal incense in any way other than traditional burning.

Also called Spice, Genie, and JWH, the drug K2 is labeled as "not for human consumption" even though it is obviously intended for people to smoke. A recent report on CBSnews indicated that poison control centers were getting more and more calls related to adverse effects from K2, which can be up to 15 times more powerful than marijuana.

Notes and Special Information

Special note: The full effects of K2 are unknown, and could take years to be discovered completely. You don't want to find out something is bad for you 10 years after you used it.
